Shipping & Returns

Shipping Policy

We work in a live shopping environment, which means occasionally, items shown as available online go out of stock before the order is placed, picked and packed. We know this falls shy of the quality user experience we seek to provide, we are currently working on long-term solutions to this issue. 

You would be provided with brand substitutes where possible. We will contact you where the ordered item is unavailable to confirm substitution or issue you a refund for the out of stock items. 

 

Shipping

All orders received by 9 am, would be shipped on the same day on a best endeavors basis. Orders received after 9 am, or on a non-working day, would be shipped the next working day.

Orders are shipped next day delivery. However, next day arrival is not guaranteed, while USA Carriers adjust to the increased demand as a result of COVID19. You would receive a tracking number to track the status of your shipment. 

Please note that our carriers deliver to the communal entrance to the specified delivery address. If requested, the carrier may deliver to the front door of your delivery address, following an assessment of the safety and practicality of doing so. 

Your order would be delivered to the address specified at checkout. You would also be asked to provide safe place information, in the event that there is nobody present at the address when the order is due to be delivered. As is standard practice, items would be left at the designated safe place. Instructions on how to collect items would be provided if the parcel can't be left in a safe place outside public view. Parcels must be collected promptly, or be destroyed due to contamination Seinyaa African Food will not be liable for any financial loss that ensues for failed delivery attempts on the dates provided on your tracking slip. 

Return & Exchange Policy

Our policy lasts 7 days. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, Meat, Fish etc. cannot be returned. We also do not accept products that are intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.


To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
Any item that is returned more than 7 days after delivery will not receive refund.

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.  If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at seinyaaafricanfood@gmail.com

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
